		<description>My personal experience is that far more liberal friends are willing to cross the aisle or not vote at all whereas my conservative friends almost unanimously vote their party&#039;s way even if they don&#039;t much like the candidate. A small sample, but it&#039;s my world.

		<description>It is only partly true. But as I&#039;ve maintained for a while, I think Republicans are much better at making the blind vote and voting strategically regardless of the gag-factor. Too many plank-related litmus tests that define their vote, in the end, over the people they are voting for.</description>
